Program Note

Khub Mai was originally an ancient song with Kmer melody flavor. Prince Paribatra had orchestrated in the Western style with chorus in Western harmony to give a little new sound to it. The piece was a part of “Tub Mae Ngoo”. The notated manuscript was said to be at the Army and Navy brass bands up to present days. The song was composed during the time he was Army General and Commander of the Royal Infantry 1.
