Silpathorn Contemporary Artist Award 2014 from the Ministry of Culture of Thailand.

Dr. Vanich Potavanich is resident conductor of Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Thai Youth Orchestra and Thai National Symphony Orchestra. Starting as a Guest Conductor of Bangkok Symphony Orch since 1995, Burapa Winds, Darthmouth College Wind Ensemble (USA), Feroci Philharmonic Winds, Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta, Kasetsart University Winds Sym, Princess Galyani Vadhana Youth Orch, Mahidol Winds Sym, Million Wind Philharmonic, Musica Sin(Penang). Rangsit Symphony Orchestra, Taksin Symphony Orchestra and Thai Youth Orch. He was selected to be Conductor for international music festival. He was selected to be conductor for RBSO Russia tour in Moscow and St.Petersburg.

Principal trumpet of Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra since 1986. Vanich began his trumpet lesson at Wat Suthiwararam School (1982)

As a composer and arranger he had prepared more 400 arrangements and original compositions.

He has been invited as a judge for many music competitions.
