Metha Yuankhiaw

Metha Yuankhiaw (b. 1995)
is a Thai composer, music arranger, conductor, and wind band director at Krungthep Christian Wind Symphony.

Under his direction, the Krungthep Christian Wind Symphony was invited to participate in major international music festivals, including the International Festival of Wind Orchestra Prague 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic, and the Rasteder International Music Festival 2023 in Rastede, Germany. On both occasions, Metha Yuankhiaw was awarded the Best Conducting Performance, recognizing his outstanding musical leadership on the international stage.

As a composer, Metha Yuankhiaw has written extensively for wind and brass ensembles. His notable works include Fantasy of Siam for Brass Octet, Rakha for Brass Octet, and In Remembrance for Symphonic Wind Band. In Remembrance was selected for performance at the Thailand International Marching Competition 2025 (TIMC), where it was performed by the Krungthep Christian Wind Symphony and earned the First Prize with the Royal Trophy, receiving high acclaim from both audiences and adjudicators. The performance was conducted by the composer himself.

Metha Yuankhiaw earned his Bachelor’s degree in Composition and Clarinet Performance from Kasetsart University. He currently serves as a music instructor and wind band director at Krungthep Christian Wind Symphony.
