บทเพลงที่ผู้ประพันธ์ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากการอ่านนวนิยายอิงประวัติศาสตร์เรื่อง “รัตนโกสินทร์” โดย ว.วินิจฉัยกุล ซึ่งเล่าถึงชีวิต ความเป็นอยู่ของคนไทยในช่วงสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ตอนต้น โดยเรื่องราวของตัวละครหลักเป็นชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีน ฉากบ้านริมแม่น้ำให้กลิ่นอายดนตรีแบบจีนในแผ่นดินไทย
The composition is inspired by the historical novel “Rattanakosin” by V. Vinicchayakul, which portrays the lives and lifestyles of Thai people during the early Rattanakosin period. The story follows the main character, a Thai-Chinese individual, and its riverside setting evokes the essence of Chinese-inspired music within the context of Thailand.
